Instructions: commissioning of your laser-engraved Plexiglas shield

This guide will help you set up your product optimally and understand the specifics of laser engraving.

1. Preparation: Removal of the protective film

In order to avoid scratches during production and shipping, the Plexiglas shield is usually equipped with an accurate fit Protective film provided (often in brown, beige or matte white)).

• Important step: This film adheres very tightly to the surface.
• Application: Carefully nibble on one corner until the slide comes off, and then pull it off completely.
• Effect: Only without foil does the Plexiglass become crystal clear and the engraving can refract the light optimally.

2. Assembly: Insertion into the LED base

For the lighting to work, the sign must be correctly connected to the light source in the base.

• The slot: On the top of the black base is a narrow slot.
• Deployment: Press the Plexiglas shield carefully, but with firm pressure directly into the slot.
• Safe hold: The shield must be pushed down to the stop so that the LEDs inside can direct the light directly into the edge of the glass.

3. Special feature: Laser engraving

Our signs will be with a high precision CO2-Laser engraving. The surface of the material is minimally removed in order to permanently immortalize the motif.

• Unique craftsmanship: Since Plexiglas is an industrial material that reacts to thermal action slight deviations in the engraving image (e.g. minimal variations in matting or depth) unavoidable.
• No lack of quality: Such fine nuances are technically conditioned and do not represent a mistake, but are a feature of the individual refinement process.

4. Power supply and operation

The supplied base can be used in many ways:

• Power sources: Use the enclosed USB cable for connection to power supplies, PCs or power banks. Alternatively, on the bottom there is a compartment for batteries (3x AA)).
• Touch control: Touch the power icon on the base briefly to change color.
• Deactivation: Hold your finger for ca. 3 Seconds pressed on the sensor.

Care tip

Avoid fingerprints directly on the engraving as fat scatters the light. For cleaning, we recommend a dry, soft microfiber cloth.
