Documentation: LED infrared remote control operation

In this guide you will find out everything important about commissioning, control and the special features of your new LED remote control.
Preparation & Battery replacement
In order to use the remote control, you need a CR2032 Button cell.

Note: For shipping and environmental reasons, the battery is not included in delivery.
How to use the battery:
- Turn the remote to the back.
- At the bottom is the battery compartment with a small locking.
- Press the plastic nose with your fingernail inside (centre) and at the same time pull out the battery holder.
- Lay the CR2032 Battery as it is embossed on the back of the remote control (the plus sign usually points upwards)).
- Push the holder back into the remote control until it is audible and clean latched.
The remote control is now immediately operational. Once your LEDs or lights are powered, you can start controlling them.
Functions & Control system
The remote control not only allows you to switch on and off, but also gives you full control over atmosphere and brightness.
The light modes at a glance
| Mode mode | Description |
| Flash | Fast, jumpy color change (ideal for party effects). |
| Strobe | Pulsating light in a chosen color (flash effect). |
| Fade | Soft transition between all colors (flowing change). |
| Smooth | Similar to Fade, but with a different color sequence or speed. |
In addition, you can use the top buttons Regulate brightness (dimming) or directly select individual colors by pressing a button.
? Important instructions for use
- Range: Since it is a standard infrared module, the range is limited. Please go relatively tight approach the object and direct the remote control directly to the sensor.
- A transmitter for everything: Almost all our LED devices work at the same frequency. This is a great Advantage: You only need a single remote to control multiple objects in your room. The remaining remote controls can simply be stored as a replacement.
- Simultaneous circuit: If two devices are very close together, they may react at the same time to press a button. If you want to control them separately, please increase the distance between the objects.
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Does FB not respond?
Please check if the battery has been inserted correctly. Is the battery empty or is it completely missing? Make sure that there are no obstacles between FB and sensor.
Does the device not respond?
Make sure your LED object is powered. Also check if the device is basically compatible for this type of infrared remote control.
What battery do I need?
You need a commercially available CR2032 Button cell.
How many devices can I control with it?
Unlimited number! As long as the devices are working at the same frequency and are within range, you can switch them all at once with a single FB.

? Troubleshooting: Remote & LED control
Your remote doesn't do what it's supposed to do? In 95 % of the cases, the problem can be solved with one of these handles. Please go through this checklist from top to bottom.
1. Checking the “Basics”
- Is there a battery? Do you have a fresh CR2032 Inserted button cell? (Remember: this is not included in the package)).
- Removed isolation strips? If you are using a remote control from another set: Check if there is still a small transparent plastic flap at the bottom of the battery compartment. This must be pulled out.
- Power supply: Does the LED object light up at all (or does it flicker)? Check if the USB cable or power supply is firmly plugged in.
2. Optimizing infrared connection
- Visual contact: Infrared works like a flashlight. If you do not “see” the sensor on the device, the signal cannot arrive. Targets directly on the object.
- Distance: Is it a greater distance? Go up to 1-2 Meters apply to the device to exclude low battery or radio interference.
- Disturbances: Very bright sunlight or strong fluorescent tubes can interfere with the infrared signal. Try it in a slightly darker environment.
3. Battery test (The trick with the smartphone)
You can make invisible infrared light visible with your mobile phone camera:
- Open your smartphone’s camera app.
- Look through the display at the Front (the small diode above) remote control.
- Press a button on the FB.
- Do you see a bright glow or blink of the diode in the display?
- Yes: The remote transmits – the problem is probably due to the receiver/LED device.
- No: The battery is empty, incorrectly inserted or the remote control is defective.
4. Problems with multiple devices
- Unwanted switching: Your devices are too close together and both react? Increase the distance by at least 50 cm or briefly shield the sensor of one device with your hand while switching the other.
- Synchronization: If two devices show different colors, press the “Reset” or a fixed color button (e.g. ROT) several times until both are back in the same mode.
