Frequent questions about our acrylic glass signs
? What is the difference between GS and XT acrylic glass?
GS (cast):Voltage-free, clear, ideal for laser engraving.
XT (extruded):Cheaper, but more susceptible to tension. We use almost exclusivelyGS acrylic glassbecause it is simply better suited for clean engravings.
?️ Are the signs suitable for outdoor use?
Our acrylic signs are for theInteriordesigned – e.g. for cabs, workshops or living quarters. UV radiation and humidity can affect material and engraving in the long term.
? How is the lighting mounted?
Depending on the productself-adhesive LED stripsor it will become aLED plate manually installed. The components come from third-party suppliers and are carefully selected by us – but are not certified technical luminaires in the CE sense.
✍️ Can I have my sign personalized?
Yes! Many models can be withName, desired text or logoindividualized. For special requests simply briefly ask – we see what works.
? How is the shield fixed?
It depends on the model: some come withSuction cupsothers will be withAdhesive pads or drillingassembly – or can simply be set up. Details can be found directly in the product description.
? What are the dimensions and strengths of the signs?
Most signs have a width between15 and 22 cmand oneMaterial thickness of approximately 3 mm. We mostly work with high-quality GS-acrylic.
? How do I properly care for acrylic signs?
Please only withsoft cloth and mild soapycleaning. Do not use sharp cleaners or glass cleaners – this can cause microscrapers or clouding. Never wipe dry!
? What power supply is needed?
Our LED components run with5V USB– for example via Powerbank, car adapter, USB socket or laptop. Power supplies are usuallynot deliveredunless otherwise specified.
? Does the sign get hot in operation?
No – the LEDs produce only minimal heat. Nevertheless, you should not operate or cover the shield permanently unsupervised. It is a decoration, not an electrical device in the technical sense.
? Can I have my own subject engraved?
Yes – prerequisite is that youRights of use of the motif or logoowns. Ideal are files in formatSVG, PNG or JPGwith high resolution. Just ask us – we are happy to advise.
