Frequent questions about our acrylic glass signs

? What is the difference between GS and XT acrylic glass?

GS (cast): Voltage-free, clear, ideal for laser engraving.
XT (extruded): Cheaper, but more susceptible to tension. We use almost exclusively GS acrylic glassbecause it is simply better suited for clean engravings.

?️ Are the signs suitable for outdoor use?

Our acrylic signs are for the Interior designed – e.g. for cabs, workshops or living quarters. UV radiation and humidity can affect material and engraving in the long term.

? How is the lighting mounted?

Depending on the product self-adhesive LED strips or it will become a LED plate manually installed. The components come from third-party suppliers and are carefully selected by us – but are not certified technical luminaires in the CE sense.

✍️ Can I have my sign personalized?

Yes! Many models can be with Name, desired text or logo individualized. Just ask for special requests – we see what works.

? How is the shield fixed?

It depends on the model: some come with Suction cups, others will be with Adhesive pads or drilling assembly – or can simply be set up. Details can be found directly in the product description.

? What are the dimensions and strengths of the signs?

Most signs have a width between 15 and 22 cm and one Material thickness of ca. 3 mm. We mostly work with high-quality GS-acrylic.

? How do I properly care for acrylic signs?

Please only with soft cloth and mild soapy cleaning. Do not use sharp cleaners or glass cleaners – this can cause microscrapers or clouding. Never wipe dry!

? What power supply is needed?

Our LED components run with 5V USB – e.g. via power bank, car adapter, USB socket or laptop. Power supplies are usually not deliveredunless otherwise specified.

? Does the sign get hot in operation?

No – the LEDs produce only minimal heat. Nevertheless, you should not operate or cover the shield permanently unsupervised. It is a decorative object, not an electrical device in the technical sense.

? Can I have my own subject engraved?

Yes – prerequisite is that you Rights of use of the motif or logo owns. Ideal are files in format SVG, PNG or JPG with high resolution. Just ask us – we are happy to advise.
