Our 3D printed products are made of high-quality plastics – butplease notethat you are sensitive toHeatanddirect solar radiationcan react!
❗ Why?
- Plastic parts can bedeformation, softeningor evenmeltingif they:longer than 60 °Care suspended.
- Direct Sun(e.g. in the car or on the windowsill) can easily reach temperatures above 60 °C!
The melting points of our materials
? PLA(polylactide)
Glass transition temperature:~ 55–65 °C
→ Will already be inSolar heatsoft!
? PETG(polyethylene terephthalate glycol)
Glass transition temperature:~ 70–80 °C
→ A little more heat resistant, but sun can also be critical here.
? ABS(acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene)
Glass transition temperature:~ 100–110 °C
→ Better suited for higher temperatures, but direct heat remains a risk!
Possible consequences?
- Deformation
- Material cracks
- Loss of stability
- Complete melting or gluing
